We are Polish/Irish couple who lives, works and bakes in Dublin, Ireland.
The love of baking is strongly routed in our family tradition. My parents worked all their lives in food industry developing recipes for food sector. All my close family members are food scientists. I’m probably the only black sheep having graduated with economics degree. I have worked for a number of years in one of Irish breweries - brewing is also super exciting, food processing magic! The love for creating and recipe testing comes directly from my parents and granny. Granny was a farmer and a great baker. All her bakes were made with love and truly cherished by everybody in the family. John comes from the West of Ireland (Sligo). He was brought up on a farm in beautiful Geevagh which gave him true appreciation for natural and organic produce. These days he works in IT and bakes with me in his free time.
When we are not at work or in the kitchen you can find us in Phoenix Park or Sligo! We are probably running after our 5 year old daughter, Helen. When we have enough of busy Dublin we love to escape to stunning Sligo.
We have always been baking and cooking a lot for family and friends. As our family is scattered all over the world this little blog has been a great way to stay in touch - this was the main idea behind it. Now - we are treating it as our recipe book- sharing our love of baking with everybody.
